To prepare for success, you must first count the cost of what it is you wish to succeed at as everything of value has a difficulty factor attached to it. The more incredible the value, the greater the difficulty.

Failing to count the cost, you will be mocked by the very things that you seek to accomplish. The cost is not only monetary, emotional, or geographical. Understanding what you are getting into is the first step in calculating the cost.

The Bible says:

“Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by will poke fun at you: ‘He started something he couldn’t finish.’
