Yesterday, I was catching up with friends after a powerful Sunday service, and one of them raised a profound question about how much we hold to ourselves while expecting much from the world, which we should be a blessing to.

The discussion came as an eye-opener, yet a trigger for how people just whine and complain through life.

Les Brown, once said:

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

Some people feel they’re disadvantaged, perhaps because they don’t have an academic degree; they didn’t quite go to school, or maybe they dropped out at some point. If this describes you or someone you know, it’s not the end of the world.

Even if you lost the opportunity to go to school, you haven’t lost an opportunity for education. Just begin by investing in your personality. Listen to the right things, read the right books, and open your mind and thinking to the right knowledge and information. What defines your life isn’t so much your academic qualifications as it is the quality of your personality—the investments and deposits you’ve made in your mind and in your heart.

Do not rob off the World of the value and the deposits that are in you. Purpose to be a blessing to your sphere of influence.
